Splendid Sage & Stainless Steel
Whangārei | Kitchen
A wonderous meld of earthy tones and flashy white, this compact kitchen packs all sorts of surprises!
BoxMakers crafted this serendipitous sage kitchen for a wonderful client in Whangarei! Centred around a subtle set of unique colours and tones, this kitchen is designed by our experts around efficiency, capability, and convenience.
The old kitchen had aged components and a striking lack of benchtop space, which is why our awesome owner collaborated with BoxMakers on this journey! First and foremost, in order to fix the benchtop space issue, we changed up the cabinetry layout for vastly improved space efficiency. While the U-shape stayed, we changed up the placement of dividers and cabinets for an uninterrupted flow of benchtops.
Shiny and sleek, the new tops themselves came in two different forms: the sink area featured a continuous stainless-steel surface from Classic Stainless with a generous upstand. This was welded so that no joints could be seen, providing awesome prep space! On both sides, you can see Uniquartz’s White Sand engineered stone – seamless at a glance, yet beautifully intricate up close. These are cleverly positioned lower than the stainless top for a more adaptable cooking experience.
Across the top and all over the bottom is where the colours start to kick in! The topside cabinetry features Melteca’s Raw Cotton Naturale for a soft, welcoming beige. However, it takes two to truly complement one another, and that’s where Melteca’s Possum Pearl comes in – a wonderful sage perfectly harmonises with the lighter beige in an earthy duet. Add in the glow of the LEDs and glossy sheen of the splashback, and you get a kitchen that is brimming with beauty!
Overhead, the cabinets are handlelessly operated, while below, we see beautiful Brushed Nickel Langley Handles from Enko. Sitting alongside these cabinets, we’ve included some amazing smart storage solutions, including a Sige Infinity Pullout Bottle Rack and a wonderfully expansive Giamo Pull Out Pantry from FitNZ!
Of course, this renovation came with fully soft-close hinges and fittings all over, alongside newly laid flooring. BoxMakers ensured that this new kitchen touted storage and style aplenty for a look that was worthy of the stunning Mangapai river.
