Masterful & Natural Ensuite Vanities
Torbay Bathrooms
Tying the home together as a cohesive whole, these bathrooms flaunt a natural, yet high-end look.
As part of an award-winning Torbay home, BoxMakers designed and delivered the full suite of bathroom luxuries. Our work extended to the master ensuite, powder room, and common bathroom.
The theme was consistent across not just the bathroom, but the home as a whole. In line with the dark walnut home furniture, we chose a rich charcoal colour for the bathroom tiles. Likewise with the kitchen, the bathroom is comprised of a biophilic theme, incorporating the natural-look tiles, white vanity unit, and plenty of room for sunlight – all made to be topped off with abundant green accessories.
As for the vanity itself, it’s a modern, minimalist wall-hung unit that appears as a single solid bar. Its understated nature allows the lighting and décor to do the heavy lifting. The bespeckled white injects character without detracting from the room’s elements. Atop, the vessel basin is similarly subtle – a statement in shape, rather than colour. Rounded and rectangular, its softness gels with the breezy nature.
The mirror is where things get interesting – these are giant form panels that stretch from end to end. The master ensuite features a single, unbroken panel that spans nearly the whole stretch of the wall, while the main bathroom breaks it into three distinct sections, with the tapware feeding directly through it. Both have that distinct tailor-made feel.
What gives this bathroom that seriously special touch is the built-in lighting. We smartly implemented exposed-bulb pendant lights, specially chosen with warm LED filaments. The cosy colour temperature turns the mood of the bathroom as a whole, shifting it more towards a wooded hideaway, cleverly accented by candlelight.
As a whole, our creative control of these bathrooms allowed for a very vivid and cohesive image to be created, fully embracing the woodland theme of the home’s interior, while being modern, capable, and cosy.
