Kitchen Woodgrain Melody

This natural and textured kitchen is a beautiful example of what happens when a woodgrain set is built to perfection! Revolving around a strong natural oak theme, the whorls of the wood sprout tall around the kitchen, as though standing amidst a sweeping forest. As the owner wished to cook around cuts of naturality, we sought to deliver it in spades!

Encircling the kitchen on all three sides is the woodgrain-finished cabinetry. We cut and installed everything from tall cabinets, to drawers, to the benchtop & appliances. The compact nature of the kitchen makes it a seriously cosy space, being akin to living among the natural wilderness. To fully embrace and embody this feeling, we decided on a fully handleless approach. With J-handles, push-to-open mechanisms, and finger-pull units, we made this entire smorgasbord of cabinetry entirely handleless!

White was chosen to be the backing colour of this kitchen, being the finish of choice for the splashback and benchtop. This was chosen to add brightness and brevity, breaking up the woodgrain so it doesn’t become overwhelming. It pairs perfectly under a sunny day thanks to a large window letting in bright light to catch the kitchen’s true tones.

Appliance-wise, this kitchen focuses on bold style and broad function, fitting a monolithic 4-door fridge and a uniquely curved rangehood – both of which we carefully shaped our cabinetry to accommodate. Another unique aspect is the number of power outlets, with twin quadruple-outlet power points for high appliance compatibility.

Looking closely, you can tell that each woodgrain panel continues across each cabinet face in pattern, creating beautiful continuity across the kitchen, rhyming depth and flow in a melodic medley of weaves and swirls.
